After recording the goods that will enter the warehouse, you need to create a goods receipt after the goods arrive in the Inbound menu. Goods receipts are used to record received goods and update warehouse stock. Follow these steps.
Go to the Goods receipt menu.
For the inbound record with pending status, click the “three-dot” icon, then select Create purchase receipt.
-
Next, you will be taken to the following page. In the Task assignee section, select the employee who receives the goods at the warehouse.
The task assignee can only be assigned to a warehouse team that has joined the warehouse. To add a team to the warehouse, adjust the settings on the warehouse details page in the Team tab.
-
In the Expected quantity field in the product section, you can change the quantity according to the goods to be received in this receipt.
One Inbound Receipt (inbound) can have more than one Receiving Task (receiving) if the goods from the Inbound are expected to be received multiple times.
Then click “Save”.
Continue the goods receipt process at the warehouse by clicking “Start receiving”.
Next, you can scan the barcode on the goods.
Click the “checklist” icon to manage the batch/serial number for each product.
You can scan the barcode to record a batch for the product if the batch already exists for this product.
Alternatively, you can manually add a new batch by clicking “Select batch”, then clicking “+ Add new batch”.
Enter the batch number, expiration date, and description (if necessary), then click “Save”.
-
Finally, click “Complete receiving” to complete the goods receipt process at the warehouse.
You can complete the receipt even if the Remaining quantity to be received is not 0 (empty). This remaining quantity to be received will be returned to the quantity of goods in the Inbound and can be assigned for receipt in a new receiving task.
You will see a confirmation pop-up like this. Click “Save”.
Select the officer/employee assigned to store the goods in the storage location at the warehouse, then click “Save”.
If all the required data has been entered, the goods receipt process is complete. You can continue with the process of storing the goods in the warehouse storage location.
