In the WMS feature in Mekari Desty, you can create transactions for incoming goods (inbound) to manage the receipt of goods in the warehouse through the Incoming Goods menu. This process helps ensure that transactions for received goods are processed and stored, and that stock is increased according to the locations available in the warehouse. The following are the steps.
Go to the Goods Receipt menu.
To record incoming goods, click “+New incoming goods”. New incoming goods can only be created by the Warehouse Manager, Owner, or Ultimate roles.
You will then see the following form.
Description:No. Field Description 1 Vendor* Select the name of the vendor sending the goods to the warehouse. 2 Transaction date Specify the transaction date for the purchase of the goods. 3 Estimated arrival date Specify the estimated date when the goods will arrive at the warehouse. 4 Warehouse* Select the warehouse where the goods will be placed. 5 Transaction no. The transaction number will be generated automatically. 6 Courier Specify the courier used to deliver the goods to the warehouse. 7 Reference no. Enter a reference number if necessary. 8 Tracking no. Also enter a tracking number if using a courier other than the vendor's courier, or use it to enter the license plate number of the vendor's courier vehicle. 9 Product* Select the products to be delivered to or received by the warehouse, and specify the quantity. 10 Memo You can also enter a memo if necessary. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. If everything is correct, click “Save”. After the new receipt is saved, the stock in transit for the goods in that warehouse will increase, indicating that a certain quantity of goods will be received at that warehouse.
The incoming goods you create will have a pending status. This status indicates that the goods do not yet have any receiving tasks. If the incoming goods transaction already has a receiving task, its status will change to open.
This concludes the explanation of how to record incoming goods in WMS.
